Act I Dr. N!Godatu: So, Michelle, how was your week? Michelle: Well, first of all... Dr. N!Godatu: Wait! Shall we use the scanner? Michelle: Fine with me Dr. N!Godatu. (mispronounces) Dr. N!Godatu: Dr. N!Godatu (pronounces with click) Michelle: (clicks tongue) Dr. N!Godatu: (looking at camera) This is a new machine that only doctors have. It allows us to see patients' thoughts as they are thinking them, right on this screen. (machine begins to hum) It has to warm up. Act II Dr. N!Godatu: OK, we're getting a picture of your thoughts, Michelle. Go ahead. Michelle: Well, this week I stayed on my diet, sort of... And Monday, I went shopping for a bra. The sales woman laughed when I told her my size. Dr. N!Godatu: Did that make you angry? Michelle: Na.. Not really... (on screen: alligator on screen eats the sales woman!) Well, maybe a little.. Dr. N!Godatu: (looking at camera) Isn't this a great machine? Act III Dr. N!Godatu: Let's go on, Michelle. How are things at work? Michelle: Oh, just great. I decided to stop fantasizing about Mr. Echard (on screen: Michelle and Mr. Echard embracing and moving horizontally off screen) and concentrate on computer programming. I've always wanted to be a computer programmer... (on screen: Michelle and Mr. Echard embracing and moving horizontally off screen -again!) Act IV Dr. N!Godatu: What's this you're thinking about right now, Michelle? Michelle: I haven't a clue! Maybe it's art. I've always wanted to be an artist. (on screen: Michelle and Mr. Echard embracing and moving horizontally off screen -again!)..or a computer programmer! |
